Improvements to discovery service

New and enhanced discovery rules for loosely connected devices (LCD)

With this release, CyberArk Privilege Cloud customers on the CyberArk Identity Security Platform benefit from a powerful new automatic onboarding rule builder. The new discovery rule builder offers a user-friendly and flexible tool to define advanced rules for accurate, automated account onboarding that ensures clearly defined and secure account management.

Currently, the discovery rule builder supports rule settings only for local accounts discovered by the CyberArk Endpoint Privilege Manager (EPM) scan mechanism that was released in the previous version. In future versions, this rule builder will become the only mechanism for automated management of discovered accounts.

LCD self-service rotation configuration

LCD self-service rotation configuration

CyberArk Privilege Cloud version 14.1 offers enhancements to the CyberArk PAM and EPM integration, with self-service, automatic onboarding and management of local admin accounts on LCDs. Now, when setting up the integration, customers can simply insert the generated security key into the newly exposed safe. Previously, users were required to reach out to CyberArk support.

Enhancements to connector management service

Improvements to privileged session manager (PSM) upgrade process

This version introduces improved processes for upgrading PSM components with the connector management service. Now, CyberArk Privilege Cloud customers on the CyberArk Identity Security Platform will receive an indication on the connector management service page of new available versions, as well as success and/or failure indicators for their upgrade. Customers can also initiate PSM upgrades directly from the web interface, without manually accessing the server and initiate silent upgrades, minimizing inputs and manual actions.

Central policy manager (CPM) and PSM upgrade with proxy configuration

Customers who are using CPM and PSM with preconfigured proxy can now upgrade the connectors via the connector management service. This improves operational efficiency and user experience, as previously this would require a manual process.

Self-service IP allowlist configuration

With this release, customers can now independently view and manage the allowed IP addresses of their CyberArk components (i.e., CPM, PSM, PSM for SSH, CP, CCP and Secure Tunnel). Previously, this action required contacting CyberArk customer support.
