NEWTON, Mass. – January 25, 2012 – CyberArk® Software, a leading global information security provider for protecting and managing privileged accounts and sessions, critical applications and sensitive information, today shared details from its first Asia-Pacific Customer and Partner Event. The event drew participants from more than 13 countries who benefitted from learning how the adoption of advanced Privileged Identity Management and Sensitive Information Management technologies can provide the foundation for a comprehensive, preventative IT security infrastructure that supports business flexibility and compliance.

Cyber-Ark achieved impressive growth in the Asia-Pacific over the past year, fueling strong interest in an event of this scope. The company reported a more than 50 percent increase in revenues and the addition of 30 customers across multiple vertical market sectors in this region including financial services, banking, insurance, telecommunications and government.

“This event was timely, and given the current threat landscape it will certainly become an event I’ll look forward to attending in the future,” said Joel A. Geronimo, head, information security architecture and engineering department, information security division, Globe Telecom, Inc. “It was important for our team to learn more about how we can maximize the benefits of Cyber-Ark solutions for security and compliance purposes, and to preview upcoming technology enhancements and roadmap.  Equally of value was the opportunity to network with peers in the security community, share our experiences, and learn from their knowledge in order to help influence and refine our own best practices.”

Attendees gained insight into Cyber-Ark’s technology development roadmap and benefitted from customer presentations and product demonstrations along with in-depth technical roundtables and security and risk management sessions. Participants showed strong interest in Cyber-Ark’s Privileged Session Management Suite, a single solution that protects databases, virtual environments and servers from insider and advanced external threats, and On-Demand Privileges Manager™ that enables users to control and monitor the commands superusers can run based on their role and current task.

“Cyber-Ark has built a strong customer and partner ecosystem in Asia-Pacific where adoption of our comprehensive, proven solutions for privileged account management and sensitive information sharing is playing an increasingly important role in organizations’ proactive cyber security strategies,” said Dan Dinnar, vice president sales, Asia-Pacific, Cyber-Ark Software. “The event was a valuable opportunity to bring this group together in a setting where they can learn from common experiences, and return to their respective organizations with strategies that can be realistically implemented, in both the near- and long-term.”

Popular sessions featured detailed discussions on cyber security and proactively addressing Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs); examining virtualized data center risks; instruction on how to continuously isolate, control and monitor privileged sessions; and securely accelerating business with an integrated Managed File Transfer platform.

“Cyber-Ark has held similar customer events in the U.S. and EMEA for the past several years, and with great success,” said Udi Mokady, CEO, Cyber-Ark Software. “We are proud of the growing interest and participation from our Asia-Pacific customers who acknowledge Cyber-Ark as the best solution in the market from both a technology and preventative security perspective.”
