September 16-19. In his session, “The Privileged Pathway: Avoid an APT by Locking Down the Road Most Traveled,” Worrall will walk participants through recent high profile attacks to demonstrate how attackers target privileged accounts to gain broad access to enterprise systems.
Who: John Worrall, CMO, CyberArk
What: The Privileged Pathway: Avoid an APT by Locking Down the Road Most Traveled
According to a recent report from CyberSheath, the compromise of privileged accounts was a crucial factor in 100 percent of Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs). Yet, as we’ve seen in countless headlines over the past few months, the management and monitoring of these accounts continues to be neglected. In this breakout session, John Worrall of CyberArk will deconstruct recent attacks to demonstrate the commonly traveled “privileged pathway.”
Attendees will walk away with an understanding of how these privileged accounts can be identified, isolated and monitored to mitigate threats and protect corporate data within their organizations. As part of this discussion, Worrall will demonstrate how the combination of CyberArk’s privileged session management technologies and the HP ArcSight Security Intelligence platform allows organizations to greatly reduce the risk of internal security breaches and external cyber-attacks, shorten forensics time when an incident occurs, and help meet compliance requirements for monitoring privileged activity and access control.
When: Wednesday, September 18 at 2:30 p.m.
Where: Jefferson East, The Washington Hilton, 1919 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C.
